Money Market
When I was choosing my 401k investment options, I was daunted by the number of choices I had to make. Am I an aggressive investor? Then, I should put all my money on high yielding stocks such as blue chip stocks or SP500. Am I a conservative investor, where in I invest in bonds and money markets? I decided to mix risk and safe at 7:3 ratio respectively.
I’ve always been interested in the world of investments, its just the learning that’s hard at first, it always is when you are just starting. I even thought of getting myself a 12 credit “Certificate of Finance” at some nearby state college so I can make our money grow. For the mean time, I’m learning options trading online, hopefully, I’ll be strong and well-rounded enough to invest in real stocks.
Oh, I invested in Mutual Funds 3 years ago and I’m so happy that the amount doubled in just 3 years! You can’t get that kind of interest rate by just putting your money on some measly bank account.

Memorial Day Weekend
Ok, it’s lunchtime so I have approximately 12 minutes to dilly dally. I haven’t been blogging for money these past few days because I got irked with PayPerPost for the “you clicked the submit button twice” error (I was sure I clicked only once and has since sent them a bug report, hahaha q.a. mode). I should be doing some paid blogging soon as money is running low. Tsk!
I just had a tiring but exciting week. We went to Newport, Rhode Island last Saturday and I drove all the way there. Woohhoo! I drove for 4 hours, my arms were aching and my butt felt squished but nonetheless I’m very happy that I’m now a certified driver. I realized that I’m a very impatient driver, speed of 65 just won’t do and I would make sure that I don’t go lesser than 70. The highest speed that I tried was 81 miles/hour but that was just for a few minutes as I’m to chicken to go with that speed lest some cop would pull me over and issue me a speeding ticket. Cops here are very good in hiding i.e. underneath a tree or some very dark and discrete place that you can’t possibly know there’s someone out there to get you. Speeding tickets are not cheap either, you have to pay at least 150(I think) and gets doubled when you are on a highway. So you see, though I have the need for speed, I also have the need to not be caught by the cops. LOL!
The next day, we went to Boston. More on that later. Will make another travelouge entry. I haven’t even finished Washington Day 2 yet! Maybe I’ll skip that and go directly to beautiful and dreamy Rhode Island.

PayPerPost – a great community
As many of you know, I am making money online through paid blogging. I’ve signed up in two different accounts, namely, Blogvertise and PayperPost. I must say that 90% of my online income comes from PayPerPost. It’s a great blog marketingcommunity, you can choose your task, blog away and the best thing is you get paid for doing so. I signed up 2 months ago and already I have made $57 and thats just for one month! If you are really serious with paid blogging, you can get your own domain, doing so will open you to more opportunities. That’s next on my list, I’m just weighing my options on what hosting company I should sign-up with.
If your google and alexa rank goes up, its easy for you to take high-paid blogs, imagine making a thousand dollars for just one entry, great right? Not only that, you will get $15 referral fee, get someone to do blog reviews from you own post and yes, get paid for it. Can you tell I love this community. So come on, join our fun yet fruitful world.

Summer time
Summer time is coming! Hello beaches and sand. Hello suntans and sunburns. I’m really looking forward to summer time because now I can wear any thing I can think of without thinking that I’ll die of hypothermia.
On top of everybody’s must-go-there-this-summer list is Hawaii. Who wouldn’t want to go there, it a party island dotted with volcanos and cute guys (LOL!). If want to live like a king you can find the grandest hotels in there or rent Wailea condominiums to save. I’d really like to go there someday, try surfing the waves and wear a skimpy bikini (to hell with my cellulites!).

Being Thrift
I just bought an IPOD 5.5 Generation and now I’m feeling guilty as hell for buying the most expensive gadget to date (for me at least). I’ve always been a thrifty girl, though I’m always saying here that I’m shopping my heart out, I’m really sort-of not doing it. For one thing, I limit my purchases to things on sale and it must not be beyond $20, even for shoes and bags. I’ve only gone beyond that limit when I bought myself some boots and I was soo torn about that purchase that Iwanted to get a refund right away.
I don’t know why but I always feel that money will soon run out and I need to save, save and save, which is not really a bad thing but sometimes my too much of a scrimp girl takes the fun out of spending because I’d be agonizing over the purchases for days before convincing myself that its okay.
When ordering at some resto, I’d always pick the most cheap meal I can find. Yiek and I would always have a fight because I’d be limiting his orders (i.e. no!! that’s too expensive pick something else LOL!). So, I always get irritated when they’d just split the bill into equal parts. Like one time (at bank camp, sorry I couldn’t resist adding), Yiek and his friends were dining out at some japanese resto, the guys ordered $9-12 dollars meal while Yiek and I ordered small items totalling $8. Imagine my horror when they split the bill ending with us paying thrice the amount of food we ordered. I really hate that you know but I’ve learned my lesson, to order at par amount so I wouldn’t be lugi. Naku, I don’t wanna to be called “sulit girl” pero I’ve been taught to spend my money wisely eversince I was a child so that kind of philosophy would be hard to erase.
Fact: The reason I’ve been slaving myself in the kitchen is too save some big bucks on food. Now, I’m complaining that I’m always tired and I don’t have free time for myself anymore. Hahay what I do just to save. Help naman I don’t wanna be like Miss Sulit Girl.
Ok, I’m done with my ranting for the day. For now, I’ll just convince myself that the IPOD is a good buy.
P.S.
Heroes season finale is tonight, can’t wait! Maging Sino Ka man is ending too, hope its not a tragic ending just for the sake of being at par with Korean novelas. Grr!

HDTV Tuesday
Hey guys, PayPerPost my favorite blog network is having a special promo every Tuesday for this month. Isn’t that great?
Last week, four lucky people grabbed a new Apple TV. I want one too!!!! Sponsored by Bid4Prizes, bloggers have the chance to win all sorts of Audio and Video equipment. This week, its a brand new Playstation 3, a killer console which not only plays the coolest games, it also plays DVDS and BlueRay Disc (A single-layer disc that can hold between 23 and 27 gigabytes of data). Also, up for grabs are Slingbox, Nintendo Wii, Yamaha Surround Sound System and a Logitech universal remote. I wouldn’t mind winning a Nintendo Wii, truth is I’d rather have Wii than PS3 because I get to flex my sleeping muscles.
On May 29, PayPerPost is giving away an HDTV, wow! Yiek would be very happy if I’d win that, he has been ogling them for quite some now, hoping that someday he’ll own one. Guys and their gadgets tsk!
An opportunity like this don’t come often, here’s the info from payperpost blog.
<snippet>
Like last week this Opportunity can be any amount and won’t necessarily look special compared to other Opps on the surface. You will have to drill a little deeper in order to find it. It can come out anytime between noon today and tomorrow. Good luck and happy hunting!
<end of snippet>
Please don’t disturb me tomorrow, I’ll be busy pressing the “refresh” button, to get hold of this great opportunity.

Help me decide
When I’m waiting for tasks, which I welcome with very OPEN arms , my mind wanders and right now, its thinking of buying itself an advance bday gift. Hey! My bday is coming up 2 months from now so I should plan ahead don’t you think? Ok, I’m becoming a gadget freak (nahawa ke mister) so I’m dreaming of having these techy gadgets. If you were me which of these gadgets would you choose?
1. IPOD – it would be cool to have an ipod. I’m rather sick of my 512mb mp3 player, its difficult to choose the song you really want, you have to press the forward button everytime and I can’t even remember how to navigate the songs. Imagine storing 1000+ songs in a single gadget and listen to sawa. I don’t have to listen to our cd music everytime we go on long drives (like some broken record). I’d rather have the 30/80 GB IPOD than the nano, sure the nano is cute but its only 8GB and its quite small so I can easily drop it uhmm in the toilet, so no thank you.
2. IPhone (coming in june)- now this is a luxury, imagine having a phone, pda and ipod in one single gadget BUT its price is 250++ more than the ipod and I don’t really need the phone as I already have one. Its PDA feature is cool but its not really full-featured like the standard pda. I can’t install anything that’s not made by apple and it has so many copyright limitations, enough to get me turned off. Still, it’s an I-WANT-ONE-OF-THOSE gadget, I can view videos, read ebooks and play music in one big screen. If ony it were not EXPENSIVE! Darn it. Sana manalo ako sa lotto katulad ni … sana!
which brings me to wanting a ..
3. Wifi-Enabled PDA – my desktop pc in my palm. I can install any applications I want, even hack its serial numbers, my only question is, will I be able to play music inside the car like the IPOD can? I have to buy SD cards and I will not be able to store many songs. What if I later decide on getting an IPOD, so I’ll be bringing my IPOD, Phone and PDA (or pda with phone capabilities), I’d look like a geek.
4. Point and shoot camera – I’ve wanted this for a long time and I have set my eyes on FUJI F30 because of its low-light features, weight and ability to control shutter/aperture manually. I know we already have a cam, but I’d also like to take pictures too. If I need to ask someone to take a picture of us, I wouldn’t have to explain how to operate Yiek’s DLSR (you can’t view it through the viewfinder, use the eyepiece and you have to turn the lens to magnify) and I can actually take pictures of Yiek, which is so rare when we go on vacations. Also, since its lightweight, I can just bring it anywhere I want to.
So whatdya think? Help me decide please.

Belisi was built on the philosophy that a necktie or a scarf is more than an article of clothing-it completes your look. “There are plenty of Web sites where you can buy accessories but few where you feel like you’re a part of a fashion community,” affirms Belisi. “A tie is a focal point that makes a bold statement. When we design and create a tie, pocket square or scarf, we first think about the person who will wear it. We want our products to enhance customers’ lives through quality, using the most au courant in fabrics and signature detailing,” confirms Belisi. “These accessories add flare to any outfit with an accent of color that creates a whole new look.”
The Belisi brand is flourishing, and anticipates the release of its new luxury handbag collection in Fall ‘07. As with all Belisi products, the handbag collection will feature extraordinary detailing including real gold hardware, soft treated Italian leather and brushed fabrics, plus many other exclusive features only available through Belisi.com.

Being baduy
I caved in, I subscribed to ABS CBN, to watch “maging sino ka man” and “walang kapalit” without painstainkinly searching the archives of youtube. Cheesy? As long as I get my fix of filipino series, then I’m fine with being cheesy.
