The Christening of Yiek

I’ve always been confused as to how I should refer to my husband in this blog. Referring to him as “my husband” seems too stiff and formal, calling him hubby seems too cheezy for me.

I’ve always called him using his family name “Daria”, up until now I still call him this way. But now I’m in a dilemma, I’m now Daria by some twist of fate and it seems weird to call him by my new family name.

We never had an endearment, we’d occasionally call each other “batig nawong”(panget in tagalog) but that’s basically it.

Baby? Sweetheart? Honey? Oh! pleez. I’m gagging with how cheezy it sounds.

I could always call him with his given name, Frederick BUT it sounds soo stiff and ancient. It reminds me of the pianist Frederick Chopan hehehe. Fred? makes me remember of fred flinstones. Dickoy? Uhmm, it sounds like “little dick”(it’s up to you which dick I am referring to hehehe).

He christened himself Darrix. But nope, won’t do. It reminds me of Go Cart.

So now what do I call him? I’ve christened him “Yiek” in my cellphone but call me stubborn, I refuse to call him anything but Daria. So for the sake of this blog, I am now calling him Yiek. Any reference to that name pertains to him. Err… I’m confused just by writing this entry.

P.S.

Yiek now calls me “my bitch”. I’m still thinking of what to call him. It’s payback time. Any suggestions?

Shit! I am suddenly overloaded with work, friday na deadine. No more emails (well..maybe a few) and I will not even dare click on my browser. Procrastinate no more!

Ka-init (Ang init) in cebuano and tagalog

Kadaghan ba nako ug gisuwat karon. Naghuwat ra ko sa oras para kagawas nako diri sa impyerno. Letse init kau! grabe! makabuang! Ganina pagpadulong nako sa ofis, akong nawong napuno ug singot, akong luyo pirting basaha basin ang ako-a gipaningot pud wala lang ko kabalo.

Wa dyud ko kahimatmat ug ingon ani ka init sa tibook nakong kinabuhi. Inig abot nako sa balay, haskang murag oven(sa bisaya:lutuanan nga giporma ug kahon). Pwede na cguro mag-prito ug itlog. Kuyawan lang ko basin inig sunod nakong tan-aw naluto na ang itlog sa akong bana sa kainit. Ayaw intawon kay ganahan ko makakita ug liwat.

Miski mag panty na lang ko ug bra grabe! panington gihapon ko. Naunsa naman ni? karong pirting kalasa ug tubig kay mag-cge nalang ko ug kaligo, kalas pud ug kuryente kay byente quatro oras naka-on ang electric fan. Di na gani kau mi mag-gakos pag-maayo sa akong bana kay wa kaabot usa ka minuto nga gakos pirting nang tulo-tulo sa akong singot.

Ang dami kong sinulat ah. Ngayon ko lang narasanan sa buhay ko na ganito kainit ang panahon Pag-abot ko sa bahay naku-po pranag oven. Pwede na akong mag-prito ng itlog. Takot ako baka sa susunod kung tingin ang itlog nang aking asawa ay luto na sa init nang panahon. Huwag naman sana, gusto makita na kay nagmana sa ‘kin.

Miski na pa-panty at bra ako grabe! di pa rin humihinto pawis ko. Ano na bang nangyayari? Ngayon aksaya masyado kami nang tubig dahil parati kaming naliligo, aksaya din nang kuryente dahil dalawangpo’t apat(wah! tama ba tong tagalog nang 24) . Hindi na rin kami nagyayakap/hug masyado nang asawa ko kasi isang minuto lang na yakap bumabaha na pawis namin.

Ang sarap cgurong tumira sa Iceland, bahala nang mag mukhang raisins sa ginaw itlog nang aking asawa at least di ako pagpapawisan. Tapos, mega-yakap pa kami para mawala yung ginaw. O di ba? mas romantic. Nagparang-sirang ulo nako ako nito a.. hindi ko na alam sinasabi ko. Dalawanpo’t minutos (wah! di ko na talaga alam tagalog ng mga numero basta 20 minutes yan) , konti na lang at pwede na akong maka-uwi.

Am I Going Bald?

I think I’m going bald. While looking at the mirror after lunch break I noticed that the hair on top of my head is thinning and if try I think I can count the hair strands on that area. I also noticed that for months now, my hair is falling out at an abnormal amount and I’m not joking. When I sweep the floor, I see hair everywhere!

Upon seeing my hair and scalp’s sorry state, I panicked and immediately text my doctor tita. I also inquired, Cebu friends as to where I can purchase Forever Living shampoo as I know this will thicken the hair. I am a member of this MLM company but I lost my id number and I don’t know where they are located here. To hell with not getting the 22% discount, I don’t want to lose my beautiful hair (yabang hehehe)!

I also text my mader to bring an aloe vera plant when they will come here next week. Panic na ito, I’d rather take the precaution than be bald.

Mongo Blues

Since I overcooked the mongo beans yesterday, I gave it a 2nd try this morning and viola I overcooked it again. I fell asleep while cooking and only woke up due to the burnt mongo smell. I woke up Daria and told him the bad news. So, I decided to once again cooked mongo for the 3rd time and I am still waiting now, 5 minutes and we will be having our lunch soon. Success at last! hehehe

My phone is giving up on me. It’s time freezes and I can’t receive any messages. Hopefully,it will be ok once I install a new OS.

I’ll end it here, our mongo soup is ready. Wanna eat with us? =)

Short entry …

We are now connected to the world wide web which cost us an arm and leg by the way. Our apartment’s administrator made us pay 2000 just to install it (Hmpp.. mga mukhang pera!) and we had to pay an additional 3500 for the internet installation. Grrr!

Since then, my husband and I have been wrestling as to who will use the PC. I played Neverwinter nights just once this week because my pesky husband always nags me that its his turn. Just today we had a tift because I was busy viewing Desperate Housewives (It’s a hilarious series) which resulted to overcooked mongo beans.
