Feng Shui Reading of the Day: (updated)

Today is not your day.
Malas ka ngayong araw na ito”

Today I…
1. missed my MRT station because I was damn busy daydreaming.
2. missed the shuttle van, I was suppose to call the driver to wait for me as I will be a few minutes late but I left my cellfone.
3. got stuck in the traffic so I came here in the office 20 minutes late of my desired time.
4. got my my heels stuck on the ridge near the elevator. I had to semi-kneel just to get the damn shoe! Now, if I were cinderella and there was a prince charming then I would definitely leave it behind so he can go looking for me. teehhee

I’m distraught so can I now have coffee, not decaf but pure unadulterated coffee (naks iba na ata to)!

One night at the grocery…

(Note: all this happened in thoughts only, they might see me as mentally unstable if I talk this out loud haha!)

Hmmm.. would like to cook menudo, better go to the grocery.

(In the Grocery)
Oh! bread, Daria said that its delicious, what’s 10 pesos difference with julie’s slice bread. It’s bigger so it’s worth it, right? right?

(Still walking)
Chips… would love to have some oishi ridges. Drats, it’s out of stock, better get some plain one. V-cut, daria would love those. Beermatch, I would like to have this too.

(in the other aisle)
Hey! there’s spam. Shecks its Php 86. too expensive but this is daria’s favorite and he would no longer eat the regular luncheon meat. I’ll get this too. It’s only 86, if we eat out than we would incur a greater amount so I better get it..

..chocolait, he likes this too. Yakult? better get one too…. hey, there’s yakisoba in a pack now? better try this one.

..there’s some termites at home, better get bygon.

..Need this plastic wares also for the storage of meat and veggies.

(at the snack aisle)
chiz wiz! better get that one, hmm how ’bout if I get some peanut butter too.

(at the counter)
How much? (I might have heard wrong) 979.72. Geez, how come I paid soo much? ‘eerrr must haven been the spam, or the peanut butter or the chocolait.

Lessons learned:

Only shop for what is needed. I only needed carrots, potato and chickpeas BUT I ended up purchasing much..much ..much more. My purchases totalled to 3 bags and shecks! it was soo heavy that I was having difficulty carrying it in the mrt and jeep.

What’s in a name?

I’m always proud of my name, no one else in the world has the same name as I have. When I sign-up for things I can always use my name as my user id. You see my name is unlike every other name you’ll ever encounter, sure there are lots of sinclair in novel books, there is even a paint with that brand but mine is unique, mine is spelled Sintclaire.
I just found out the other day that I am no longer unique, why is this so? My hubby’s mother is a midwife, I was at one time, heck! let me be specific, on the night of January 31, as I was curious with the delivery procedure and there was a child on the way, I helped in the delivery but was not really able to see the actual birth of the baby since I still had a party to go to.
Little did I know that my hubby’s mother suggested to the mother to have her named after me. I should be honored that they found my name so lovely but honestly, I felt betrayed. I soo love my name and I felt that I should have been asked first before naming her. I’m not being selfish or anything, I just feel that its my propriety right.
So there my lovely name which is sadly not unique anymore =(.

Adjusting to Married Life

The thing with being married is ….

- I have to sleepily cook breakfast while he sleeps. I would love to get those ZZZzzzz’s but a wife’s gotta do her job. This is a damn double standard society.
- I cook dinner while he watches television.
- I iron his clothes while he still watches television and he reprimanded me one time because I didn’t iron his clothes. Can’t he see that I was soo sleepy and tired with our stroll that I didn’t have the energy to lift my fingers?

My husband is a BIG time procrastinator and I on the other is used to doing things in a rush. I DON’t want to waste time, I take a bath for a max of 10 min., apply all kikay stuff and put on my clothes. All this I can do for 15 mins.-20 mins, he on the other hand lounges around, watches t.v. while I’m busy preparing breakfast. He takes things soo slowly i.e. just standing staring at nothing in the bathroom, watching t.v. while eating breakfast (there is nothing wrong with this really, it just that he eats MORE slowly while doing this). So what do I do, I nag him so he hurries up. I hate repeating myself and I hate nagging, Damn me! for being a control freak.

Sigh! this must be what they call the “adjustment period”. I sure have one helluva time adjusting and I’m sure he is having one too.

I must admit I’m one spoiled brat. I don’t know anything about household chores. I don’t know how to cook(cakes I know but dishes nah! hotdog and eggs cguro), I don’t know how to iron clothes, and I don’t even know the right way to sweep the floor! Yeah, yeah, yeah I’m one spoiled señorita lady. I’m used to someone picking up my towel, closing the toothpaste cap, washing the dishes and cleaning up the mess. I’m soo having a hard time adjusting as I’ve been doing this señorita thing for 25 years (getting out of this habit is going to take some time) and my husband is forever nagging me on this which irritates the hell out of me.

Hay! Married life…. a bliss or a curse? Right now, we are slowly reaching a compromise. As long as he won’t nag me on the things I am forever leaving behind (Promise..I’ll remember, just please don’t nag me because my rebel side sometimes get the better of me and I get close-minded when you always lecture me) then I won’t nag him on being a procastinator.

They say married life is an endless adjustment with each other. So, here I am ranting .. hey! I’m adjusting. OK!

(Note: I’m have no regrets getting married, I’m just bitching today because I been lacking the much needed ZZZZZzzzzz’s. Saturday na pls…. I want my beauty rest!)

My DAY!

I thought my last day at my beloved company (beloved daw o.. hehe) was going to be an ordinary day but little did I know that my barkada i.e. ria, monette, mau, maila and arlene were planning a pretty
wild surprise for me.

At around 10:30 AM, my assistant manager called me to discuss my hr transfer.

AM: Alam mo na ba sang group ka don
Me: Err.. wdcma ata di ako sure.
AM: TTMF yung group mo, gagamitin mo DB, C++ and Corba
Me(In my mind): Whhaat? C++ , damn! no choice, corba ? don’t even know anything ’bout it
.
.
. (blah..blah..)
.
AM: Teka lang ha may kukunin ako.

He went out for a second and came back bringing me a single gerbera with a note attached. I was really caught by suprise, but that’s not the end of it, along came guys from my module, all bringing gerberas in different colors. Wow! I can’t believe I’m so blessed.

I think almost all the guys in the office (the guard and the japs) brought me flowers and this went on for the whole day! I couldn’t finish my DTS because every now and then a guy would give me a flower. My batchmates, all lined up to give me theirs. The guard called me in the lobby so he can give me his, accompanied by a very sweet smile which I rarely see him do.

I gave a mini-despidada party during afternoon break. I was planning to cut off my time at the office so I would not have to deliver the traditional goodbye speech, but I was “pressured” to give one. It’s the least I can do for giving me such a wonderful day. A day I can call uniquely mine.

Thank you VPAL for making my day really terrific. My friend Jan Wee also made a blog for me.
Thanks Jan! (Would really like to post a comment on your blog but our BELOVED company has blocked the site =()
